It’s becoming a favorite pasttime to compile lists of people’s most favorite webapps, and most of those start with flickr, del.icio.ius and the other usual suspects. My colleague Tom just pointed me to this article which lists a few well known apps, but also introduces some lesser known but very inetresting ones. Worth a […]

Web 2.0 Map

December 12th, 2005

My favorite little watchlist called populicio.us just alerted me to an interesting article on Web 2.0 (Wikipedia entry). Oftentimes, people ask about what makes an Internet product or service part of Web 2.0, and these days it’s often unclear whether they would consider that a good or bad thing, given some of the hype […]

December 2nd, 2005

I am getting to this a bit late, but I downloaded the del.icio.us Firefox extension. The most visible feature are the “my del.icio.us” and “tag” buttons…no more icon-less bookmarklets. You’ll also find a del.icio.us search in the Firefox search dropdown. Cool stuff!

Here’s the del.icio.us help page on it.

Full disclosure: del.icio.us is a portfolio company of […]

December 2nd, 2005

I guess I am writing too much about Craigslist, but this article in Fortune quotes some inetresting numbers:
Ten million Craigslist users click on an estimated 6.5 million classified postings each month at 190 local sites in 35 countries, generating three billion page views. Craigslist is also mind-bogglingly small. It has just 18 employees and no […]
