DealWatch: Some Getgo.de guys go at it again
Congratulations to Sven Schmidt and Daniel Groezinger! I just got the news from them that they have secured funding for their new venture. In their announcement they say their offering will “offer significant added value compared to existing competitors GelbeSeiten.de, 11880.com, Klicktel.de and GoYellow.de“. It will do so by combining yellow page/directory asisstance services with social networking features….it’s probably fair to take a look at US players such as insiderpages.com or yelp.com to see where this would be headed. Launch is planned for Q12006.
The investment of “up to €6M” comes from KPS Holding, the investment vehicle of Klaus-Peter Schulenberg who is the principal shareholder of CTS Eventim. Sven and Daniel were on the founding team of getgo.de which CTS took over back in 2002, hence the connection…
I am looking forward to having an “enhanced yellow page” service in Germany and will keep a close eye on the market…
