Yes, del.icio.us has been acquired by Yahoo: See Joshua’s announcement.
Congratulations to Joshua and the great team at del.icio.us for building what I consider to be by far the best social bookmarking service. Given Yahoo’s proven ability to make innovative services and apps like flickr available to a broad audience on the web while maintinaing the startup team’s momentum, I believe del.icio.us has a bright future ahead.
Following our investment in the company, our partner Tom Gieselmann has been working very closely with Joshua at del.icio.us and we have all been thrilled by the experience with the del.icio.us team, our co-investors and everyone else involved.
