Yahoo hasn’t really yet shown its logo very much on the del.icio.us site, leaving the site with its trademark bare-bones looks. However, it seems to be taking over in the background - I made a typo in a URL today and the Yahoo! error page showed up…

Yahoo showing at del.icio.us…
Back from DLD in Munich
I spent the last two days in Munich at Burda Media’s “Digital Lifestyle Day“. Not only did they put together an extremely interesting list of speakers, the entire audience were great people. To be honest, I missed a lot of the panels because I wound up talking to people…but I guess that’s what these conferences […]
Convisual IPO - 7 days later
Last Friday, German-based Convisual went public (Lightreading). The company is in the business of wholesaling entertainment content to mobile operatos. I was curious on how the stock would do, and have been surprised by the strong uptick. (Yahoo quote)
Given conventional VC wisdom, an IPO is an extremely lucrative way to exit an investment and achieve […]
Startup Jobs in Hamburg
I just talked with the founders of a Hamburg Internet startup which I wrote about earlier and they are actively looking for great people (VP Engineering, Webdesign…). They say that for a successful referral they are willing to give out a free ticket to a Soccer World Cup game! Isn’t that a lot more creative […]

I have been waiting for something like this for quite some time and if you have the patience to read my ramblings about consumer VoIP before I […]

There is also a […]
CES, Macworld…and Google Earth for Mac!
Macworld is going on right now, and Steve Jobs announced that as of today Apple will start selling iMacs based on Intel chips - same price, same looks, but a lot faster. That was quick, given that the partnership was announced in fall. Engadget has a roundup of MacWorld coverage.
Probably not related is the fact […]
Consumer Internet, Digital Media and Technology Conferences for 2006
I have been asked a number of times which conferences in the Internet/Consumer/Media/Technology area are worth attending, and since I was putting together a list for my own calendar I thought I’d post it here. I have not attended all of these events in the past myself, so in part rely on accounts of colleagues […]
Internet Companies that Crossed My Desk Last Year…
After a break from posting over the New Year, I decided to jot down a list of companies and online services that crossed my desk last year. Most of them are private companies (i.e. typically startups) since I figured everyone knows the offerings of Yahoo, Google and MSN anyways, although I included some of their […]
