While browsing my (German) blog subscriptions, I just came across the Exciting Commerce weblog again, a really worthwhile read when it comes to the German eCommerce scene. An interesting post from David Beisel on social shopping is also discussed there, I recommend reading it - social commerce of course is one of the topics that people (of course including VCs) love to mention at any dinner event these days…but when you ask for a clear definition, it starts getting fuzzy…
Exciting Commerce lists a few interesting German start-ups in the area that are currently on the launchpad, such as Dealjaeger.de (find the login info here…and have fun playing, it’s worth trying out) as well as DaWanda (beta invite required) and eDelight (coming soon)…there is definitely a lot going on in this area in Germany as well.

Hi Christian,
nice post and thanks for recommending our closed-beta login info… unfortunately, the link to Dealjaeger doesn’t work because an “e” is missing. Typing mistake? German-Umlaut problem? doesn’t matter, just wanted to mention.
best regards, Klaus and the Dealjaeger-team
Hallo Christian,
thanks for mentioning DaWanda.
If anyone doesn’t have an invitation, please contact me… I have some left…
bye
Michael
@klaus: Sorry, the wrong link was a typo…should be fixed now!
